Color Grading and Film Looks

Cinematic color grading is a contract of time, place, and source logic. Highlights and shadows can belong to different hues. A color change is an event, not a drift.

Teal and Orange is a complementary split, not a requirement. Bleach Bypass and Monochrome remove ease. Warm Amber and Cool Blue are motivated by lamps and sky, or they look pasted. Day for Night is a lighting and exposure lie that still needs physics. Keep match-previous coverage on the same contract. Do not teal-orange a scene that was tungsten five seconds ago.
