Genre Cinematography Looks

A genre look is a complete visual language: light, palette, lens, and blocking together. If you only say the genre name, you get a poster.

Film Noir is motivated hard light and a world that withholds. Giallo is color as violence. Found Footage is a diegetic camera with mass and mistakes. German Expressionism bends sets and shadows until psychology is architecture. Write the lights, the lens, and who can move. The genre name is the last word, not the first.
