In-camera effects cinematography should look like photography first: light hitting glass, a focus pull, a double exposure. Not a filter stacked at the end of a sentence.
Lens Flare and Anamorphic Flare are bright points in the lens. Rack Focus is attention as a verb. Forced Perspective cheats scale in front of the camera. Double Exposure and Light Leak are accidents you choose. Prompt the physical cause. If you only name the plugin, the picture has no glass.
